'I Shall Wear Purple'

Purple has always, always been my favorite color.  I used to have a quote on my bedroom wall that read:

When I am old, I shall wear purple

and be what I am, and do what I please

perhaps I won't wait 'til I'm old...

Violet's pretty 'princess dress' and vibrant personality provided the perfect contrast to the chilly, gray December day at the beautiful Lake Anne Plaza in Reston VA, which is known for its modern art and architecture.  What a gorgeous and loving family!

Fiddle on, cowgirl! {Part 1}

Christina Wensel is an amazing person, mother, musician and friend.  I am so lucky to know her and was so happy to be able to take some head shots for her!  December is so busy, but we managed to steal a few minutes between one of our rehearsals downtown...

All Aboard!

 My dear friend Song and I have been planning this particular shoot for a very long time.  I'm so glad it finally happened because it was SO MUCH FUN!  How adorable and stylish is this family?!  They were so fun to photograph.  And the icing on the cake was that we all got a fun surprise at the end of the shoot!  :)

Just as we were getting everything packed up to leave, guess what came speeding down the track?!  As my little Jackson would say, "Choo-Choo!"
