Morris Family {Newport News, VA Family Photography}

This kid melts my heart.  He is just a hunk of cuteness and he reminds me so much of my son Josiah when he was 6 months old.  Big blue eyes, buttery thighs, and just a solid, solid kid.  I was pretty excited when his mom approached me about taking his 6 month photos, and I'm so glad it worked out to get some family shots as well because this family is so fun and beautiful!  We met up at one of my favorite parks- Newport News Park- and enjoyed an absolutely perfect fall day.  :)  I'm kind of loving the weather we've been having in Yorktown this Fall.  As I sit here editing at 11:00 pm, just days before Thanksgiving, I have the windows open because it's 68 degrees outside!

I knew we would be instant friends when I first met Holly.  She's the sweetest person you'll ever meet!  When I found out she and her 4 year-old son share the exact same birthday as my husband and 4 year-old Jackson, it seemed like an extra special connection we share.  I mean...how cool is that?!  Thanks, Holly, for allowing me to capture some fun moments with your sweet family!

Sarah, remember the time I took your maternity photos and then left for about a month, and then you had your baby and unexpectedly moved away for a while, and life just got crazy for the both of us?  Well, I am missing you today so I thought it was finally time to get these up on the blog!  These boys are so lucky to have you as their mama!  I mean it!

Yo, Ho, Happy Halloween! (Only a few days late)

Oh Halloween.  You are just way too much fun!!  My boys have been quite obsessed with Jake and the Never Land Pirates recently, so I knew this is what we had to do for our costumes this year.  The boys got SO into it!  They helped me make their costumes (because I couldn't find a large enough Jake costume, or a Cubby costume ANYWHERE) and they were into every single detail.  In fact I got scolded when we tried to leave the house without the little J's on Jake's boots.  Such treasured memories (no pun intended). :)
