October Sky
Can you believe it's already the last day of October? Crazy! This year, October 31 means a great many things to our family. It means it's Halloween, of course. Happy Halloween! It also means it's my sister-in-law's birthday. Happy Birthday, Em! Lastly, it means she and her fiance are getting married in 11 days! Happy almost wedding Emily and Jason! I always like to have music playing while I edit pictures and today, I picked the soundtrack from October Sky. I love the music from that movie! Happy last day of October, everyone!

Team Edgell
Who wouldn't want to belong to the fabulous Team Edgell? Ben and Diana have an amazing story! (Check out their blog here). Diana is a physical trainer, and they are both heavy weight lifters and fitness experts. When we first talked about doing family pictures, Diana said she wanted to incorporate their love for sports and heavy lifting. I couldn't believe it when I saw the weights! Seriously impressive, guys. I can't think of a better way to take family pictures than to let everyone run around and just PLAY! :) Thanks for a great time, Team Edgell!

Color and Shapes
"I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way- things I had no words for" _ Georgia O'Keeffe
It is such a treat when I can combine my love for music and photography! Both passions allow me to express myself in ways that words cannot. I was excited when Paul Tucker, a great saxophonist in the Army Band, asked me to take some publicity shots for him. We started shooting at Ft. Myer just as the sun was coming up, and ended up in Georgetown.
And now for my favorite shots. This fountain, with the Kennedy Center in the background, is amazing! I'm so glad Paul was willing to get under the water! I think the water droplets look a little like music notes. :)

Green Family {Old Town, Alexandria}
Snugglin', laughin', peek-a-booin'...what a great way to start a Saturday morning! There is something so sweet about watching a pair of new parents playing with their baby. Although, Leo won't be a baby much longer! He is growing up so fast! My heart just melts every time I look into those big, beautiful, clear blue eyes.
